Middle Eastern Health & Safety Management Training

Capable People recognise that managing Occupational Health & Safety in the Middle East region presents a range of unique challenges. That means that generic, off-the shelf Health & Safety training packages usually don’t fully address the training needs of people working in the Middle East. Generic Health & Safety training, for example, usually does not address in detail the combination religious, cultural and climate issues that affect the way the work in the Middle East has to be carried out. The month of fasting, for example, brings specific challenges, as does the requirement to understand the principles of Sharia law and manage gender issues in the workplace correctly and with sensitivity. For that reason we have developed a suite of two courses that take these factors into consideration, and ensure they are appreciated in the wider context of the more general and physical workplace Health & Safety challenges.

To ensure that the information and instruction that these courses contain is culturally correct and accurate, we have asked the Muslim Council of Great Britain to review the content, and we are proud to be able to state that these courses have been approved by the Muslim Council of Great Britain.
